I love cats. Seriously, I love everything about them!

I love watching them play, seeing their individual personalities emerge, listening to them “talk” when they want something and hearing that unmistakable purr when they're content.

But it's not just the things they do that I love — I love watching and recognising their behaviour too.

They have their own personalities, routines, preferences and ways of communicating, and getting to know those individual quirks is one of the things I love most about what I do.

Experience That Goes Beyond Simply Owning Cats

My experience comes from much more than having cats of my own.

I have fostered for Harrogate Cat Rescue including cats with very different personalities, backgrounds and needs, and, as you might expect, I eventually failed as a fosterer and adopted one I was fostering!

Alongside my hands-on experience, I have completed CPD Awards in Cat & Kitten First Aid and Feline Behaviour & Psychology, and I am an Animal Reiki Master Practitioner. I'm also fully insured and DBS checked.

Around 98% of the cats I look after are repeat bookings.

That means I get to know the cats, and they get to know me. For many of them, I'm a familiar face they already trust when their humans go

away — rather than a different stranger each time.

And that's something I believe really matters.

​

The care I provide is about more than the practical jobs.

Of course, I'll make sure your cat is fed, has fresh water and a clean litter tray.

But for cats who enjoy it, the rest of my time is dedicated to attention, reassurance, play and companionship.

And for a nervous or shy cat, that might simply mean sitting quietly nearby and allowing them to come to me when they're ready.

Every cat is different — and I treat them that way.
